FDA Description :

ActCel® Topical Hemostatic Dressing is a white or light yellow sterile fabric prepared by the chemical treatment of regenerated cellulose.  

It is an effective and innovative soluble hemostat widely used in first-aid and surgery hemostasia. When the fabric comes in contact with blood or exudates, it quickly transforms 

into a clear viscous gel, which fills wound voids, seals capillary ends, activates the clotting system and thereby helps to stop bleeding. 

Indications FOR USE: 
Prescription: ActCel® is indicated for the management of topical wounds and the temporary control of external surface bleeding.  

OTC Indications : ActCel® is indicated for the temporary management of external topical bleeding of minor cuts, minor lacerations.  

Contraindications 

  • ActCel® should not be used for internal use.

Adverse Reactions 

  • No adverse effects have been reported to date with correct use.  

Directions for use 

  1. Clean the wound.
  2. Apply ActCel® to cover the bleeding site. It can be cut or folded as needed.
  3. Gently press the wound site until bleeding stops.
  4. Moisten ActCel® with clean water after the bleeding stops.
  5. Excess ActCel® gel can be rinsed away with clean water.
  6. Repeat the steps above with another piece of ActCel® as needed. If bleeding continues, contact ®a Doctor or Emergency Room.
